1. The service
StatementBee is software that runs in your web browser and converts bank statement PDFs into spreadsheet and accounting file formats such as Excel, CSV, QBO, QIF and OFX. Conversion happens on your own device; we do not receive or store the statements you convert.
2. Your account
You may try StatementBee without an account. To convert more than the free anonymous allowance you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for activity that takes place under your account and for keeping access to your email secure. You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract.
3. Acceptable use
You agree that you will not:
- Use StatementBee to process documents you are not authorised to possess or process
- Attempt to resell, sublicense, white-label or redistribute the service
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or use automated systems to access the service beyond normal individual use
- Circumvent plan limits, licence checks or any other technical restriction
- Interfere with the service, or use it to distribute malware or unlawful content
4. Accuracy, and your duty to check
StatementBee automatically verifies extracted rows against the running balance in your statement and tells you when the figures reconcile or where they do not. This check is a strong signal of a clean conversion, but it is not a guarantee of accuracy or completeness.
You are responsible for reviewing every converted file before you rely on it, and particularly before submitting it to an accounting system, a lender, a tax authority or any third party. PDFs vary enormously between banks and some layouts may extract incorrectly or incompletely.
5. Not professional advice
StatementBee is a data conversion tool. We are not accountants, auditors, bookkeepers, tax agents or financial advisers, and nothing the service produces constitutes accounting, tax, legal or financial advice. Decisions you make using converted data are yours alone.
6. Plans, billing and changes
The free plan includes a limited number of conversions each month. Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, through our payment provider Paddle, which acts as merchant of record and handles billing and applicable taxes. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and will keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.
We may change prices for future billing periods. If we do, existing subscribers will be given at least 30 days' notice by email before the change applies to them.
7. Availability
We aim to keep StatementBee available and working, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Because conversion runs in your browser, the service depends on your device and browser; we cannot guarantee compatibility with every browser, operating system or PDF. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice of material changes where we can.
8. Intellectual property
The StatementBee software, brand, design and content remain ours. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your own business or personal purposes for as long as these terms are in force. Your files and the data they contain remain entirely yours — we acquire no rights over them, and in any case never receive them.
9. Disclaimers and limits on our liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, StatementBee is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or for costs arising from errors in converted data, rejected filings, penalties, or reliance on output you did not check. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case the above applies to the extent permitted.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using StatementBee and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms — immediately and without refund in the case of the prohibited uses in section 3. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will do so.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and we will email account holders about material changes. Continuing to use StatementBee after a change means you accept the updated terms.
